Lack of focus, being stuck or clarity is one of the many reasons people get mindset and business marketing coaching. A lack of focus is a symptom to an underlying deeper issue. If the underlying issue is not found and looked at, then just increasing focus on the same things most times will not generate the expected or desired improved results in your business.
As a person we have thousands and thousands of random thoughts go through our minds every single day. Managing these thoughts and ideas while achieving your daring big dreams and goals can be a real challenge, and when you’re a business with a team, and each has thousands of thoughts and information, it would come as no surprise that some businesses lack focus, have competing priorities, conflict, all of which limit growth and be able to improve your influence, impact and income.
To effectively manage these thoughts and increase focus involves clarity and alignment of your why, your purpose, your strengths, your core values and mindset, and your daring big dreams, goals and inspired actions. When this is achieved, you shift yourself into an approach where you are moving forward with deliberate intention and action, which is known as being “laser focused.”
Not moving forward with clear and meaningful intent means that your mind is in a stalled and stuck position and more likely to the thousands of random thoughts we have, therefore creating all kinds of distractions and diversions, which show up as a lack of focus or direction. It’s the lack of focus that is more typically accepted as the problem, because it’s at the surface level, but most times it will go unresolved because the deeper issue is never completely dealt with. As this cycle continues, frustration, uncertainty, anxiety, fear, and pressure continues to build from using up energy without getting better results. Some would call it “being on a hamster wheel”, which tears away your confidence, courage, energy and heads toward major frustration and anxiety.
Now that I know the entire story how do I acquire more confidence and courage to step out more?
Confidence is a mindset and is rooted upon all your past experiences, losses, failures, beliefs, skills and wisdom. When a person is crystal clear on whom they are their why, passion, beliefs, strengths and vision are in complete alignment with their big dreams, goals and actions. The is a liberating process that shifts a person into operating from the heart and central part of who they are and that creates confidence, courage, persistence, a growth mindset, passion and other qualities linked with achievement, success and replaces the qualities that create the unwanted and unattractive limits. A person in effect becomes limitless when living from the heart and central part of them, which is known as confidence, courage, drive and purpose. You are more willing to come out of hiding and step out in a much bigger and bolder way in your business.
How do I finally overcome fears, uncertainties and blocks?
Your mindset and business marketing coach will work with you to pinpoint what’s causing the fears, uncertainties and blocks to create a plan of action that is specific to you and your situation.
A lot of times fear and uncertainty has set in as a result of lack of your crystal clear why, purpose, planning and specific goals. Just creating awareness and an understanding around the fear, uncertainty and blocks won’t automatically get rid of the problem. Keep in mind that fear is an emotion and a symptom, not the real problem. You overcome problems, but they can and often will happen again. Symptoms are clue that something is wrong, which needs to be diagnosed to solve the real deeper problem, therefore getting rid of the symptom, which in this situation is fear. When the real problem is solved, fear is replaced with confidence, and courage a much more positive and desirable emotion that supports strong growth and allows you to increase your influence, impact and income.
With coaching will I get some training as well?
Coaching and training most times are split, as there are coaches that focus and specialize in coaching and trainers that focus and specialize in training on different topics. They go together like mindset and marketing. You can do them separately, but they are enormously powerful and highly effective when combined together. I’m often asked, “Which is first, coaching or training?” I’d say it depends on the specific situation, but for a lot, engaging a mindset and marketing business coach comes first because it’s the coaching process that will assist you in assessing the specific situation and planning the future and will allow you to decide what, who and how much training is needed to support the future growth and direction.
The key is that training by itself, without clear purpose as to why, or not dealing the real problem, will result in a very low return on your investment of time, money and energy. If you’re unsure which to do first, then it’s a pretty clear signal that you should choose to work with a mindset and marketing business coach to bring crystal clear clarity to what your desired outcome is specifically for you and your business.
